Qurate Retail Group is the largest player in video commerce (“vCommerce”), which includes video-driven shopping across linear TV, ecommerce sites, digital streaming and social platforms.
The Opportunity
- Support the Sourcing team to increase team project capacity & productivity by:
- Facilitate product development to decrease time to market
- Manage suppliers and agents for long-term growth and partnership
- maintain Ballard's established Sourcing business while working to increase quality, standards, and margin for the assigned area

- You will report to the Manager of Sourcing
Your Impact
- Train or maintain training established with each vendor and agent regarding Ballard routines (i.e. drop testing, factory evaluation, product lifecycle process, communications, labeling/ packaging, quality standards, new vendor training, vendor compliance, trips …)
- Facilitate communication with domestic and international partners regarding complex or technical material processes in easy-to-understand terms
- Collaborate with Design, Merchandising & Inventory teams to manage assigned product categories through product development (determine best vendor, price & MOQ negotiation, manage product data, product creation in Epif system)
- Avoid price increases on existing SKUs and look for opportunities to resource products for margin improvement
- Lead our bi-monthly meeting with Merchandising and Inventory teams, ensuring all parties understand product status and timelines
- Ensure that our brand is represented in each product with proper quality, branding, and packaging standards
- Maintain shared files for each vendor and agent inclusive of contact information, history, strengths and weaknesses, factory profile, factory and product digitals
What You Bring
- 2+ years Sourcing/Merchandising experience
- Ability to be detailed and organized.
- International and domestic travel is required.
- Experience using Excel
Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
