The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Digital Copywriter, the On-Call Creative Copywriter here at HSN will be one of the voices behind an unapologetically fun, engaging, and original brand. Working closely with our art and ecommerce teams, you’ll translate strategic concepts into effective messaging that resonates with shoppers and helps them discover what makes them happy. Plus, it’ll drive results. Lots of results.

Your Impact

• You will write on-brand copy for multiple platforms. (Think site, print, email, external marketing and social. Maybe even TV.)

• Master and champion the HSN brand voice and style guidelines.

• You will team up with art directors/graphic designers to wow shoppers with persuasive content that aligns with marketing goals and helps drive sales.

• Prioritize assignments and respond to feedback and/or changing deadlines as needed.

• Incorporate consumer insights and data to improve effectiveness.

• Proofread and self-edit copy for grammar, spelling, accuracy and brand consistency.

• Stay on top of market trends and stay curious. We love to talk shop and share inspiration.

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners from teams such as creative operations, ecommerce, social and email marketing.

• Have fun with us! We’re an easygoing bunch fueled by coffee, bagels and out-of-the-box ideas.

What You Bring

• Please submit writing samples that show off your ability to produce clear and clever copy.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English or related field.

• 3+ years’ professional experience.

• Strong, and we mean strong, attention to detail.

• You have the ability to balance business and creative needs.

• Understanding of best practices for digital and promotional copywriting.

• Experience collaborating with art directors/graphic designers.

• You excel in a deadline-driven environment.

• You have a team mentality.
