The right candidate for this role is a self-starter who enjoys problem-solving and working end to end to drive resolution. The ideal Vendor Operations Account Manager will be comfortable building cross-functional relationships across the organization and communicating to and with all levels of management within the company. In addition, they will independently and proactively work with their vendor base, Merchandising and other internal and external partners to identify areas of opportunity, participate and drive pre-season/pre-event planning discussions as well as gather, analyze, communicate, and educate partners on operational metrics, measure progress and celebrate the wins. This individual will have the ability to juggle many tasks, will be able to prioritize and drive results with an uncanny ability to hold Vendors accountable while maintaining a strong business relationship. Their ultimate goal is to help support and drive business by building fantastic supply chain support and advocating for the customer. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages the end-to-end portfolio of vendor accounts with product across multiple fulfillment channels and vendors. This includes the ability to gather, analyze and communicate metrics driving customer experience Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Works in collaboration with internal partners to proactively develop solutions to reduce fulfillment discrepancies and drive operational efficiencies, and manages potential disputes while following proper audit procedures and staying within compliance guidelines.
- Uses proprietary software to identify and manage Purchase Order exceptions on a daily basis, as well as educating vendors on software and troubleshooting issues within Vendor Portal.
- Drives operational excellence conversations concerning Supply Chain issues including but not limited to packaging, shipping time, fulfillment and labeling with both external and internal partners to ensure optimal customer experience.
- Conducts on-boarding efforts and pre-event planning for vendor portfolio.
- Escalates any issues that may have material impact to business (ex: potential loss of key vendor account) in timely manner to Manager with recommendations.
- Communicates clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization. This includes creating and delivering presentations to mid-level management and to external partners.
- Meets and/or exceeds appropriate KPIs for the department. This includes driving operational performance and improving processes to impact the company’s objectives.
- Meets Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and prioritizes urgent situations as they occur and manage time effectively.
- Responsible for building cross-functional relationships.
- Some travel may be required to support vendor performance improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 1-3 years’ experience within operations, retail or account management
- Ability to self-supervise and drive tangible change within their own portfolio and the department
- Strong MS Office experience required
- Must be a problem solver, be able to think critically, and plan and execute against findings
- Must have strong functional agility; must be able to meet deadlines, manage projects
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships
- Excellent customer service, multi-tasking ability and organizational skills, including courteous and professional phone, written and in-person communication skills
- Must be able to negotiate with internal and external partners to find solutions that work for all parties
- Retail inventory and supply chain management, Purchase Order management, or vendor compliance management experience preferred.
