We are expanding our Payments squad and are in need of a Lead level engineer to help drive long term design and architecture of our checkout and payments systems while working with our Product team to build fun and exciting features for our customer.

QUALIFICATIONS   

  • 7+ years of experience building and shipping large-scale software 

  • Excellent System Design skills 

  • Expert-level knowledge of at least one modern language such as Java, PHP, GoLang, or C# including object-oriented design 

  • Experience with Cloud (AWS preferred) 

  • Experience working with Product owners to document, design and deliver successful features for our customer.

  • Experience in determining tradeoffs between a teams options and suggesting (with data) the best approach possible

  • Strong focus in telemetry and monitoring including an understanding that we should be the first to know when something isn't working as intended.

  • Experience with asynchronous programming and workflow technologies

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's Degree preferred 

  • Experience in and passion for mentoring junior engineers 

  • Easy-going, light-hearted attitude combined with a strong sense of ownership and delivering on commitments.  

  • A passion for the customer!  The Orders Experience squad is the final step before our customers get excited to receive their new products.  A desire to make this step as enjoyable and pain-free as possible is essential
