The Opportunity:

The Senior Project Manager will own a Workplace Technologies project portfolio in addition to providing coordination support for the Supply Chain Operations product and change management teams. For the Workplace Technologies department, the Senior Project Manager will own the intake process, prioritization, and planning for a broad range of corporate services projects. This is a highly visible function requiring frequent interaction with senior business leaders to manage expectations, capture requirements and define delivery plans with technology counterparts. For Supply Chain Operations, the Senior Project Manager will provide internal and 3rd party project-level support across business, operations, and technology teams ensuring dots are well connected.

The Senior Project Manager will own and/or be assigned to one or more concurrent projects that may or may not be related. The Senior Project Manager will report into a director but will primarily take direction from respective business segment leaders and/or product managers. Therefore, the ideal candidate must be capable of leading and working independently with minimal guidance from their direct manager. As a result, the Senior Project Manager will be empowered to make decisions and manage team members into alignment to ensure successful outcomes.

The role of the Senior Project Manager could include but will not be limited to: (depending on initiative)

  • Create project charter and facilitate kick-off meetings
  • Run monthly governance with business and technology stakeholders
  • Manage cross-functional activities with other workstreams and scrum teams
  • Collaboratively capture and understand business requirements, funnel into development teams
  • Act as a product owner when needed
  • Perform gap analysis and process flows for current state and proposed state
  • Collaboratively define and control the project scope
  • Create key milestone plan with stakeholders
  • Work closely with product and change management to ensure key milestones are well coordinated
  • Ensure schedule, cost and quality remain in line with project charter, and set and manage expectations appropriately with stakeholders
  • Report project status on a regular cadence
  • Define and manage communication plans
  • Manage risks and mitigation plans
  • Manage change requests (via light-weight process)
  • Oversee testing and implementation activities
  • Capture, monitor and communicate post deployment benefits
  • Document best practices/perform retrospectives, focus on continuous improvement
  • Help close the project and financials (if applicable)

  • Supply Chain Operations and/or Workplace Technologies knowledge preferred

In Addition:

  • A BA/BS degree is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • MBA preferred
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Travel may be required
  • Experience:  5+ years of experience in a related field and successful demonstration of the responsibilities and skill set listed above.
