For our Supply Chain Team we are looking for a Supply Chain Expeditor based in Castel Sangiovanni (PC) or potentially Brugherio (MB).

In this role you will be mainly responsible for controlling and providing a fully visible Expediting function for all of QVC’s overseas Purchase orders, enabling internal customers to fully understand the status and progress of all orders.

You will control the Return to Vendor operations of international goods.

You will be establishing and maintaining a good communication links between Vendors, Forwarders and all internal/external customers.

You will be doing:

Import Management (Purchase Order Management)

•Contact Vendor to establish a critical timeline for all QVC managed purchase orders, confirming point of origin, issuing contact details.
•Work with Vendors to establish size and nature of deliveries to allow for forecasting and planning of inbound freight.
•Assist Vendor Compliance queries when required.
•Liaise with freight forwarders to ensure timely despatch of shipments using the most cost effective mode of transport and the use of correct customs commodity codes on import formalities.
•Provide customs clearance instructions to carriers in relation to samples receipt, recording all contact and progress on the relevant system.
•Calculate burden using QVC freight calculator ensuring accuracy and validity of agreed tariffs and post into SAP

Export Management

•Communicate details of export to overseas Vendors and communicate shipping arrangements and details.
•Advise buyers and vendors on costs when product is to be returned to another destination from point of origin.
•Liaise with freight forwarder and warehouse for collections.
•Responsible for the communication process for updating Vendors and internal customers on status of export shipments.

You bring (experience and qualifications):

  • You have a Degree in relevant subject

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role

  • Good business experience and success in a product sales driven Shipping or Distribution.  Purchasing, Supply Chain or Customer Service Role

  • Understanding of commodity tariffs and import/export customs procedures

  • Knowledge and experience of handling purchase orders for product, with experience of managing imports/exports a definite advantage

  • Understanding of freight modes and costs as well as customs tariff

  • Very good level of Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)

  • Fluent Italian and English

  • The knowledge of VBA is a high evaluated plus
