Senior Product Manager-Product Planning and Programming

The Opportunity  

Qurate Retail Group has an amazing opportunity for a Product Professional with a background/interest in Merchandising and Planning systems. As Product Manager, you will utilize your knowledge in the merchandising space to enable new Qurate Global solutions focused on the areas such as, Open to Buy, Show Scripting/Allocation, Pricing, Assortment Planning, Demand Planning, and Forecasting, and more. You will utilize skills in key platforms like SAP, Sterling, APIs, and beyond in an Agile environment to inform the strategy for your product domain, which will enable you to bring your inspiring vision into managing a full-stack agile product team to deliver successful outcomes.

Your Impact 

This global role requires strong product management experience, exceptional leadership skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, versatility, and expertise.  The owner of this role is responsible for the product strategy and roadmap development for Merchandise Planning and Programming technologies. The Product Manager collaborates closely with stakeholders and other product leaders to ensure customer needs are met. 

What you will be doing 

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap and translate this into a product backlog utilizing the Agile Methodology 

  • Gather and prioritize product and technical requirements for your product

  • Work with Product Managers across various parts of the organization to understand integration needs and requirements and translating this into functional and technical stories for your product backlog

  • Your day will be spent collaborating with multiple people and teams, both up and down the matrix. From our Software Engineering team, QA, holding demo’s, leading meetings with our Customer Experience team and Business stakeholder 

  • Balancing multiple initiatives that are in different life-cycle stages simultaneously 

What You Bring 

  • 4+ years of product management experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree, with an MBA, preferred

  • Candidates’ ability to show proven experience and understanding of merchandising and planning processes and best practices is strongly preferred

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a multi-function organization 

  • Experience working in an Agile environment including defining and documenting product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria 

  • Strong Product Management background, with experience relevant to the specific product area being sought 

  • Experience with SAP Merchandising Modules and/or Sterling Promotions Module is a plus
