Reporting into the Manager FP&A, the Jr Commercial Finance analyst serves as day-to-day business partner performing and delivering reporting, analysis and business modelling to support the Commercial Finance team and business leaders across the organization. This role will be supportive in:
- developing processes and tools, ensuring integrity, availability, and relevance of Commercial Finance reporting platforms, tools, and data.
- partnering closely with Commercial and Finance teams to understand business needs and provide informed support.
- working closely with Global/QI BP&A, Commerce & IT teams to develop global standards and deliver new reporting technology & insights.
Key Accountabilities
Reporting and analytics
- Produce and deliver periodic reports on the main financial metrics related to business performances in accordance with global guidances.
- Supporting the team and the direct manager in preparing monthly business reviews by proving key figures, collecting info from different sources, preparing power point presentations.
- Support FP&A team for the drafting of financial closures (P&L related) and monthly financial forecasts.
- Executing ad hoc analysis and reports on business results and other key figures, with the aim of assessing specific business areas of interest as per direct manager’s indications.
- Interrogate data and reporting to provide action-oriented analysis & recommendations to the Commercial Finance team.
- Ensure availability, consistency, accuracy and relevance of analytics output.
New Developments
- Provide support in developing aligned modelling, analysis, new reporting and tools to support business initiatives.
- Contribute to ITY transition to new global data sources and technology.
Communication
- Work closely with the Finance and Commerce teams to understand and solve for their analytics needs and data integrity issues.
- Act as an evangelist to ensure maximum adoption of Commercial Finance methods, tools and processes.
- Present relevant contextual analysis to communicate business trends and highlight risks & opportunities.
Education:
- Degree in Economics, Management Engineering or Statistics
Minimum Experience:
- The successful candidate would have 1/2 year experience within a similar role.
- High level of analytical skills and thinking essential to deal with large volumes of data available.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to present complex analysis in a concise and effective manner.
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge & proven experience in the use statistical techniques.
- Advanced Excel skills (Inc. VBA programming).
- Understanding of database design including data manipulation through SQL.
- Experience of using reporting tools
- Fluent in English and Italian.
